As usual I am writing this a week late. 🙂
Baby E’s  appointment went great! 145 heartbeat, measuring on track so far and mama was healthy. My thyroid levels were back in the right ranges which was good – so I’m going to continue to take the original low dose of medicine they gave me to keep that under control, and hopefully after baby comes I can go off of it.
They said during my 28 week appointment my white blood cells were high, which means at my last appointment I was probably fighting off a cold. They retested my blood to make sure those went back to normal, I’ll find out soon hopefully. I’m getting pretty comfortable giving up my blood when I go in for an appointment by now 🙂
After our appointment we had lunch at Petite Chou with friends. I ate a huge egg sandwich with avocado, it was so delicious! We also got an adorable gift (shown above) of the softest blanket and elephant I cant wait to give to E!
Wednesday was spent in slow motion. It was one of those pregnant hormonal days that I felt sad, tired and overall lethargic. My work was non productive and my mind was moving at the rate of a sloth. I can feel the first trimester tiredness coming back
Up until now I wouldn’t say I’ve been nesting. This weekend we started to change that, mostly just cleaning house. Spring cleaning old toiletries, getting rid of junk we had been holding on to that was taking up space, overall just making room for baby 🙂
I can’t believe that we are in the single digit countdown for weeks – I can say baby will be here in 9 weeks! I look at my belly and I know it will only continue to grow over the next few months, but can’t imagine that this babe still has to double in weight and increase in size a few inches. Like I said last week, women’s bodies are insane and you grow to respect what they can go through during pregnancy more than ever.
We had date night at Santorini, a yummy Greek restaurant downtown Indy in Fountain Square and devoured gyros. I always leave feeling stuffed and happy there! We are working on doing more date nights before baby so hopefully from here on out I’ll have a fun date night to write about. For the last 11 years it has just been Josh and I, soon we will be sharing our time with a third!
Size of Baby E:Â PIneapple – they say baby is supposed to weigh around 3 lbs and 15 ish inches.
Best moment of the week: Our 30 week appointment. We met with the nurse practitioner this week which I enjoyed. She did a great job of explaining all the smaller details to us, which for whatever reason the doctors don’t always seem to have time to do. 🙂
Obsessions/Cravings? Milk. I’m wanting all dairy. Most nights Josh asks what I want for dinner, and nothing sounds good except… yogurt… milk… cereal with milk… ice cream…. you get the theme?
What I’m most looking forward to this week: Comedy night with J –  I fell in love with a comedian I saw awhile back on Last Comic Standing and saw he was coming to a local comedy stand up place here in Indy. We of course bought tickets and I can’t wait!
What I miss the most:Â My body. This is probably a theme as most women go through third trimester, and I’m sure it will only get worse. I feel my body isn’t my own anymore (which I understand it isn’t!) and I can’t wait to feel like my body is my own again.
Workouts:Â Workouts I am being more lax on in these last few weeks. We are still running 4 ish time a week. Thankfully it finally got warmer this week so we could take our runs outside which I love! I did some strength training, but it is mostly just realizing I am carrying extra weight and my body is responding differently, so taking it easy is key! On our rest days we got outside and enjoyed longer walks while the sun was shining!
Sleep: … Less dreams this week than last week mostly because I was awake all this week thanks to Pregnancy Insomnia. I usually would lay awake for 2 – 3 hours a night and then end up sleeping in later because I couldn’t sleep during the night. It made for morning workouts to be more difficult, so we did more afternoon workouts this week.
Movement:Â E is starting to move much more deliberate. Less random pokes, still a lot of hiccups, but always constant movement. I don’t think E sleeps much in there!
Symptoms:Â This week I woke up with a few headaches in the AM which brought me back to first trimester. I hope they don’t come back as strong as they did in the beginning.
