As the end of the year approaches, my birthday nears and the christmas crazy begins, I always seem to get overwhelmed. Once December 15th hits I feel like it’s a full out sprint until January 1st.
Our big news this week? Josh finished painting the crib! I had bought the Olivia Crib, but the only color was Amber which I wasn’t a huge fan of. Josh sanded and painted the bottom of the crib an adorable green color. If it’s a girl, we will tie in pinks and oranges and if it’s a boy navy blues and greys. I love love it and am so excited to share the rest of the nursery plans as it gets put together!
At 4 months you would think my bump would be more impressive than this. At least I hoped so! I keep hearing how ‘lucky’ I am to not show much because I’m tall, but I’ve decided when you’re pregnant you want people to know you’re pregnant and the belly bump is the way to do that. Without the bump people just think you are hitting the holiday treats a little too hard!
Back to Baby E news! I’m starting to feel very light movements, nothing very noticeable and mostly at night when I slow down and sit still, I can feel the tiny flutterings of movement from inside.
I had my first random cry attack this week. It was a lovely Wednesday morning, the day before my birthday and I can’t explain why but I just started crying. I wanted to cry, it felt great. It was one of the hardest cries I have had in awhile and it was so needed!
My birthday was great, Josh and my family definitely made me feel loved and special all weekend!I can’t believe next birthday we will be celebrating with a +1 in the family!
Size of Baby E: Avocado
Best moment of the week: I spent Sunday cooking all types of holiday treats with Britt, Kels and Jade. We had so much fun dunking everything in chocolate and baking up a storm. Hopefully it can be a yearly tradition!
Obsessions/Cravings? I’ve been eating a lot of pickle and spicy mustard sandwiches??? Not sure why, but they taste delicious!
What I’m most looking forward to this week: Christmas next week!
The weekly updates mention that Baby E can start to hear this week, I am really looking forward to talking to E in there and continuing to connect! I love this baby so much and can’t wait to meet him/her. I’m sure J and I will start talking in that high pitch baby voice to my stomach (so annoying) 🙂 but baby needs to hear mommy and daddy!
What I miss the most: Runny Eggs! We’ve been meeting friends out for brunches a lot recently and I have to order my eggs scrambled every time. I want runny eggs!!
Symptoms: The hormones are starting to kick in. My boobs are huge and my belly is definitely starting to grow. Had some hormonal cry attacks this week and the acne is still acting up (fun!).
