We celebrated Thanksgiving this past week, and boy do we have loads to be thankful for! We drove up to Wisconsin and celebrated with family over a delicious meal and great company! Josh and I were so happy to be able to share our news with everyone in person and to seeing Papa’s happiness when we told him made us both over joyed! This is second time being a great grandfather and since he already has a great grandson he immediately told us he wanted a girl 🙂 I said he will have to talk to Josh about that one!
We started nesting a little bit this weekend (if thats what you want to call it). We bought a crib and moved around our office to make room for baby. We will still be in our 2 bedroom apartment, so baby E will have to share their room with our office 🙂  Luckily babies are small for the first year!  I picked out the Baby Mod Olivia Crib and love the modern feel.  We are going to paint the bottom to match the dresser (which we are also painting ourselves) a kelly green color.  Stay tuned to see how our arts and crafts weekend turns out!
Size of Baby E:Â Lemon
*all of the books tell me week 13 is a peach and week 14 is a lemon… I’m not sure what size lemons and peaches these people are eating but my peaches are way bigger than my lemons.. so I took it upon myself to switch the food weeks.
Best moment of the week: Sharing our news and celebrating with family in person! If there is one thing I am confident about, my baby is blessed with a lot of fantastic people around them who love him/her!
Epiphany of the week:Â I’m in the second trimester… and this is the trimester you are supposed to get a lot of your to do’s checked off… and I have no idea where I am supposed to start! Any help?!
Obsessions/Cravings? Saltines with margarine? Â Weird. I know… but so good.
What I’m most looking forward to this week: Making Baby E public knowledge! We are crossing off our final people who we want to tell personally and then we are letting the cat out of the bag and telling everyone we know that We’re Having A Baby!!
What I miss the most: Not having to run to the bathroom every 1.5 hours.  On our drive north to Wisconsin we stopped every hour to 1.5 hours to pee.  Sorry family! 🙂
Symptoms: Gaining Weight! Ha, this is an obvious symptom of pregnancy and expected. I’m eating healthy and still exercising most days… but it’s never fun to watch the number increase on the scale 🙂  I have most of my energy back, but I am still lagging a bit in the afternoon – hopefully that goes away as the second trimester progresses.

You know, I am only a little further along than you are, but I think pregnancy, like parenting, is something you figure out as you go. Sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking about all there is to do in the next 6 months, and then I realize I only need to focus on one day at a time. Maybe now would be a good time to start the registry? And if you are really feeling lost, I would suggest getting a pregnancy organizer. I have one and it is very helpful! Good luck!

We are definitely figuring it out as we go! An organizer would probably help get me on track 🙂
