I’m an impatient person.
I know everyone says I need these 9 months to prepare for baby, which I am sure I do, but waiting 9 months for one of the best gifts you’ve ever been given is tough. It’s as if someone wrapped a gift 9 months before Christmas and left it out on your dinner table for you to think about and stare at for 9 months. You can’t peek inside or pick it up and shake it, but you can sit and wonder what does that box hold.
Similarly I sit every day and wonder.. What are you doing in there baby?!
Are you comfortable?
Are you too hot when I workout?
Does my running shake you too much?
Do you like the spicy food I am eating?
Can you hear the music on the radio? Please kick me if you want me to change the station!
Can you feel it when we are having sex?
Is the shower water too hot?
Does caffeine in my black tea or occasional cup of joe make you jittery?
Can you smile yet?
Who will you look like more – mommy or daddy?
Are you doing a somersault right now?
When I sleep, do you sleep too?
I could go on. Every day something new pops up that I wonder about. My guess is these questions never go away now that I am a parent I just get better at being ok with not knowing the answers.
If other mamas are reading this, I would love to hear the crazy questions you have wondered while your babes are in your belly!

I’ve definitely asked myself a lot of those. I wonder if the reason I have to pee so often at night is because my baby is a night owl like me, kicking and dancing and flipping while I’m trying to sleep. Can’t wait to feel those things and know more about this tiny person I’m incubating!

I agree! I wonder the same thing when I can’t sleep, is it because baby E is doing a dance routine in my belly which is keeping me up!
