If you know me, or follow me online then you’re probably familiar with my love of fitness.
5 years ago I quit my 9-5 sales job to become a personal trainer, and have never been more confident in a career change. I love learning how our bodies work, how they react to the things we eat and exercise. I found my passion in working with women to feel strong and sexy. Confidence comes from feeling good, and if we are eating right, exercising, sleeping, and taking care of our bodies, both mentally and physically, we will be our best selves.
I don’t exercise because summer is coming up and I have to fit into a bikini.
I don’t swear off carbs, because let’s be serious that doesn’t work long term and I would be miserable.
I eat dessert, but I only eat my portion.
I lift weights, and love building muscle and feeling strong.
I put healthy foods into my body and love working out so hard that I leave the gym with sweat dripping. I know how great my body can feel when I take care of it.
I feel so strongly about creating a healthy lifestyle I wrote a 52 week program on it, One Year Fit. I email you a new challenge every week and you are introduced to 52 new healthy habits by the end of the year.
But…
I also have been doing the mom thing for 3 years now and I know how it feels to have zero energy at the end of the day. I know how you don’t have one minute to yourself, and when you do at night it’s all you can do to crawl into the bathtub with a glass of wine and sit in silence.
I wrote One Year Fit out of my passion for helping others live a balanced, sustainable, healthy lifestyle. Maybe you’ve heard me talk about my program and maybe you still have no idea what One Year Fit is.
That’s my fault. I have the passion, but I’ve failed to get the word out.
I’m great at marketing other people, I suck at self promotion.
One Year Fit is me. It’s 52 habits that I have personally chosen and honestly believe that if you incorporate all of these habits into your lifestyle, your body, mind and lifestyle will be healthier.
This is where the failure comes in.
I’m not shy, I’m a confident person. but for whatever reason I haven’t been able to shout at the top of my lungs to all of the internet:
LOOK AT ME! LOOK WHAT I DID!
Something that I am so proud of and truly believe in and know is good. I want to yell at the top of my lungs:
THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
I’ve failed at spreading the word and today is where that changes.
Maybe it’s fear.
You (the internet) won’t like me.
Or doubt.
There are so many other fitness courses and health coaches out there, why me.
Probably both.
I’ve reminded myself tonight, fear and doubt have never had a place in my life and won’t now.
You don’t need to join One Year Fit (but you should!). Maybe you are scared (of feeling awesome?) or think you don’t have time (you will never have enough time), but I’m not asking you to sign up today (OK, yes I am), but if you don’t want to join the 52 week challenge (I promise it’s fun!), join our community. I started a new Instagram account where I will be totally geeking out on all things fitness and health. I’m inviting you to join me.
Warning if you follow this account ——> oneyear.fit
I’m not holding back anymore. You are getting all of the overnight oats, vegetables, lunges and burpees all the time.
It’s not easy. It’s not a quick fix, it’s a lifestyle.
I want One Year Fit to be a community of people that come together to support each other, who share their stories and experiences with the goal of improving our lives together. I want to take away the judgement, the crazy fad diets, the guilt and all focus on one thing: a healthier you.
So please, come! Join me, introduce yourself, don’t be shy, One Year Fit is for me to share my passion and slight obsession with all things healthy and your place to come for advice, a safe haven and motivation.
Let’s do this together.
