I only started this blog a few months ago and am already feeling lots of love from the mommy bloggers out there – thank you! Before deciding to write about the chaos of life as a mommy, I would be lying if I didn’t tell you I hesitated. With all of the judgment that seems to go on of parenting styles and the ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ way to raise kids, I was nervous to put my chaotic life of work and play on the internet. It’s only been a few months, so maybe Im speaking too soon, but I’ve been welcomed by so many of you and for that I’m grateful.
I was nominated by both Mommy Methodology and Young Earthy Mama so I’m combining all of the great qustions here, and y’all can learn more than you ever wanted to know about me in this one post!

How long have you been blogging, and why did you start blogging?
I started blogging back in 2008 on my first blog: BubblyBride. It was all wedding all the time. I was a wedding coordinator at the time, and helping brides get through the stress of the day was near and dear to my heart.  Next, my husband and I left our 9-5 jobs in Chicago and jetset around the world for 18 months, while I wrote about it on Traveling 9 to 5. This blog is still alive and active as we take Lottie Rose with us, and begin a new phase of traveling as a fmaily.
What is your favorite blog post you’ve written?  Please link!
It’s a photo post I put together that takes you through every city we traveled through in one year around the world. These aren’t our best photos, but each one represents a big part of what I loved about each location.
Read it here: One Year Around The World in Photos
What is your favorite quote and why?
Two of my favorite:
“May all your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view……where something strange and more beautiful and more full of wonder than your deepest dreams waits for you”. –Edward Abbey
“If you don’t do something that you love because you are scared to lose your freedom, you already lost your freedom.”
My life has taken so many turns and none that I could have expected, but I have always ended up with the most amazing views. When we quit our jobs to travel, we left stability for an unknown future and if we were too scared to leave we would have never known the freedom that we enjoy now.
Do you know your personality profile, if so what is it?
ENFJ – that was determined probably over 10 years ago.
What is your earliest memory?
I have the worst memory. Literally, my husband jokes about it. Some people have photographic memories – I have the exact opposite of that. Any of my early memories come from photos Ive looked through and stories I’ve been told from my parents.
What is your favorite hobby (aside from blogging)?
Traveling. Everywhere. If I’m not traveling I love planning where my next trip is.
What is your favorite store and why?
Amazon (I know boring.) But with Prime I can get anything delivered in 2 days and never have to leave the house. Who has time to shop with a newborn?! 🙂

We were in Botswana. My husband and I rented a 4×4 truck for a month and started driving north through Botswana and then across Namibia. We camped for the month while we were in search of wildlife in the bush. Neither of us had ever driven a stick shift car before and suddenly we were driving it through 3 feet of sand trying to not get too close to huge African elephants. The days were spent on adrenaline, and the nights were spent drinking a beer under the most beautiful sunset and sky full of starts I have ever seen.
