This morning has been spent inside thanks to the thunderstorms happening outside. I actually love thunderstorms, listening to them, watching them… and sleeping through them. Lottie not so much love for the rainy weather. She’s been sitting at the door pointing wondering when we will be able to go play outside. Soon baby girl, soon!
On these grey days I love thinking about what is making me happy this week.
Homemade Cold Brew
When summer hits, Josh and I start making cold brew! We let the coffee brew overnight in water and then strain it. Mix the final concentrate with some water, add ice and a dash of salt (trust me it brings out the flavor!) and voila! delicious cold brew.

Chaise Lounge
We moved recently so our house still has blank walls and lingering boxes, but I think everyone needs a “space” in their house. This is my small little corner where I can sit and read, sleep or just be. This is my Chaise lounge (yes the one surrounded by boxes and piles of stuff) where I leave the responsibilities and dirty diapers and stress outside.
Olivia Pope Wine Glasses
Do you watch Scandal? if you don’t, you should. The show is easily addicting. Anyways, the main character, Olivia Pope, shares my affinity for popcorn and wine dinners. More than that I have been eyeing her wine glasses for a few seasons now and I finally broke down and ordered some for myself.
These long stem 23 oz red wine glasses are from Crate and Barrel and I’m in love at first sip.
