We ditched all of our responsibilities on Sunday and decided to drive down to Brown County to see the leaves changing colors. We knew this would be one of the last sunny days before it gets too cold, so we met our sister at Brown County Park and spent the afternoon hiking.
The leaves were incredible. We were surrounded by color everywhere we looked. The air was crisp and the sun was shining, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
This was her first big hike and those little legs went to work – she walked majority of the way herself!
“Lottie, show me how much fun you’re having!” …
And then there were leaves. We made piles of leaves for Lottie to run through and play in. Having never experienced Fall yet, this girl was a natural.
During the hike we passed a playground, so of course Lottie wouldn’t let us keep hiking without a few (100) times down the slide and an appropriate amount of swing time.
Snack break.
We get caught up in our to do list and need to remember to slow down and get away more often. Spending family time outside is so refreshing and this beautiful Fall weather is going to go away soon so I plan to savor every minute of it that I can!
How are you and your family enjoying Fall?
