I’ve always been surrounded by fitness, but I wouldn’t always call myself healthy. When I ran my first marathon I felt more unhealthy than I ever have been. I wasn’t cross training or refueling properly… I was doing a lot of running and that’s it. I became a great runner, but I didn’t spend any time on my nutrition, sleep, stress or flexibility. There is a lot that goes into creating a healthy lifestyle and it can quickly get overwhelming.
You can trick yourself into thinking you’re healthy because you’re working out every day, but your mind and body tell a different story.
We all have different goals.
That’s one reason I love the idea of finding your healthy lifestyle. Everyone has different routines, preferences and financial means that define what their healthy lifestyle will look like. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. If there was, then everyone would be doing it and there wouldn’t be a need for diets.
I created One Year Fit because time shouldn’t stop you from living healthy.
I created One Year Fit because the health industry can be overloaded and confusing.
and I created One Year Fit because you can indulge every now and then without feeling guilty.
Keep it simple
Health magazines and fad diets over complicate the idea of a healthy lifestyle. When you break it down, you need to move your body and eat real, unprocessed food. There’s a lot more to it than that, but when you are starting out and trying to change your bad habits remember: move your body and eat real food.
Make is sustainable
Diets come and go. 30 days later you are back to your old habits and are no better off than you started. One Year Fit was created to make your lifestyle change sustainable. The program is built to give you time to focus on one habit at a time and break down the concept of health to weekly challenges to help you succeed.
Make it fun
I’m never one to back down from a challenge. I like actionable goals, and One Year Fit delivers one challenge a week to your inbox to make these healthy habits fun. Get your friend or husband involved, challenge each other and keep each other accountable.
Change your life
Your lifestyle will look completely different in one year. You don’t know how good your body can feel when you have healthy routines in place to amplify your life.
One Year Fit is for anyone who wants to redefine their habits. Who has tried diets and failed. Who thinks they’re healthy but have a long way to go until their body feels its best.
The habits in One Year Fit aren’t new. You know brussel sprouts are healthy, but when was the last time you cooked one? How much water do you drink throughout the day? And how often do you take the stairs when you have the option? One Year Fit will remind you of these basic habits and then give you actionable steps to make them part of your day-to-day routines.
