When I first started Lottie Rose at 6 months on baby led weaning , I scoured the internet for tips and how to’s.
I knew I wanted to do it, but I didn’t know how. The idea was simple, the baby eats what you eat… but I didn’t understand how a baby could eat a carrot or green bean when they didn’t have any teeth.
So I read everything I could find, I asked a hundred questions, and I still ask questions. The more I read and watched videos, the more excited I was to watch Lottie discover food on her own.
Lottie loves food, she is curious and willing to try anything, and that is one of my favorite parts of Baby Led Weaning. Everything doesn’t come in a soupy spoon, or pureed version of its real self. It is real food, that is hers to explore and do what she wants with. I don’t stress about how much she eats or making and freezing food. I introduce her to all the flavors, textures and temperatures of food and let her embrace each in her own time.
