Naps are once again a norm in my day. They aren’t the first trimester ones where I physically can’t keep my eyes opened or focused on anything, but im completely exhausted by 3 pm most days. Even a 30 min power nap, if I can squeeze it in, is helpful!
My mom’s small group from church hosted Baby E’s last shower and It was so wonderful! There was a delicious lunch and all of the women were tons of fun. It’s an exciting/weird feeling being done with the showers and finally looking at our registry so we can finish out getting what we need. We are pretty much done minus a few things here and there, Baby E was definitely blessed!
With Josh leaving for Miami next week, I wanted to finish packing the hospital bag this week so when he gets back we don’t have to worry about any of that. I have no doubt that I won’t need it for another month – but better prepared than not 🙂 I’ll post a list of what I added in.. and update it after baby, with what I actually used/needed 🙂
We visited our friends down in Bloomington and their three kids for brunch this past weekend. I can’t believe that Laura has done this whole pregnancy thing three times! 🙂 They have three wonderful kids and it was so fun to spend time with them at our alma mater.
After spending the afternoon down there I get in the car and HOLY SWOLLEN ANKLES! My pregnancy hormones took over and I couldn’t stop crying on our drive home about how my body was letting go, and how my ankles look like a 300 lb woman etc…. etc… . It was bad, trust me. I wore compression socks for the next two days and stayed off my feet as much as possible!
On other news, you are supposed to get your TDAP Shot with every pregnancy now at 28 weeks. Im not sure how I missed it – but I still needed one, so I went to the hospital this week and got it. Ouch. My arm was sore from that vaccine for the next week! Josh’s didnt hurt as much, mine might have had something to do with me training clients the rest of the da,. so i worked the muscle a lot after I got the shot, but for whatever reason It stayed sore for a while!
Size of Baby E: Over 5 lbs and around 18 inches.
Best moment of the week: Having our last baby shower. Baby E felt extra loved this week and I am ready more than ever to meet this babe and introduce him/her into the world!
Obsessions/Cravings? Compression socks. They were my saving grace this weekend and I’m planning on them being a staple from here on out.
What I’m most looking forward to this week: J going to Miami. I can’t wait for him to go mainly so he can get back and then we can get ready for baby! I promised him no baby this weekend while he was gone 🙂
What I miss the most: My ankles. This is the theme of the week. I can’t complain my pregnancy has been pretty easy up until this point… I just hate to see my ankles so … HUGE :)!
Workouts: 3 Runs this week and a few strength training workouts – down from 5 and this will most likely stay the norm. Less running… more walking.. still moving as much as possible! I want to take this last month to just enjoy pregnancy (not that I haven’t been so far!)
Sleep: Dont sleep much – still mild headaches in the middle of the night and peeing constantly but o well – IM GOING TO HAVE A BABY SOON! 🙂
Movement: Bigger movements. More baby like which is exciting. More elbows and feet into my side. She has always been a mover and shaker and that hasn’t stopped!
Symptoms: Ankles! With all my headaches throughout the pregnancy, I’ve really only taken Tylenol a few times when it’s gotten really bad – this week was one of those times!
