It’s official, I’m grounded for my third trimester until baby arrives. We jetsetted for a quick weekend in Florida this past week for our last few days of chasing the sun. We have 12 weeks left and those last few weeks will mostly be spent getting ready for baby and not getting on an airplane!
Josh has one last trip when I am 35 weeks pregnant, but I decided to sit that one out and just relax! I promised him I have no plans of this baby coming out early!
There were a few times this past week where I felt like my Belly Button was going to implode. My stomach would get so tight and maybe its just stretching, who knows but it hurt!
One thing we did learn about baby this week is E likes sugar. During our time in Florida we indulged in a little too much key lime pie and sweets and definitely decided that E will have a sweet tooth based on the samba dance E was doing inside my belly.
After our trip to Florida I came home and had a mini freak out day of stress. For whatever reason all of the projects and my work came to a head, and I felt completely overwhelmed. There is so much I want to do, but no time to do it all and I have to decide what is lower on the priority list and let some projects go before June. Luckily my loving husband helped calm me down and prioritize. I went into sunday feeling productive and awesome.
Lots of plans between now and June and I am excited to get through the projects so I can just snuggle with baby sooner than later!
We had our 3rd baby class and there were lots of birthing videos to give us an idea of what to expect. I can’t tell you why, I know labor will be one of the most painful and hardest things i’ll ever do, but I’m honestly not worried about it at all. I’ll probably be putting my foot in my mouth in three months, but the excitement of getting to meet this little babe in my belly totally trumps any pain that I will go through. Worth every second! That moment can’t get here soon enough!
I am starting to feel more aches and pains which I haven’t felt yet. I’ve been lucky so far, but now simple things like bending over is difficult and o goodness the restless leg syndrome. All night my legs are constantly restless and achy! My stomach is getting full so quickly now, I’ll still be so hungry but I can’t put anything else in it because It is stuffed full after a few bites – so smaller meals more often is the plan from here on out.
Size of Baby E: Head of Lettuce
Best moment of the week: A quick escape to Florida with a spa day, including a massage, facial, mani and pedi – I was in Pregnant Happiness!
Obsessions/Cravings? Chocolate – this week I will finally admit that I was craving sweets. It’s been mostly salty up until now, but this week I wanted chocolate in all forms. Hot chocolate, dove chocolate, m&m’s, peanut butter cups, trader joes chocolate cat cookies – anything and everything please!
What I’m most looking forward to this week: Baby E’s 28 week appointment and heading into the 3rd trimester! Let the countdown begin!
What I miss the most: Summer. I am over the winter and I miss the sunshine and summertime – I’m ready for June to have a cute squishy baby I can push down the Monon for long walks!
Workouts: Still running…still feeling good!
Sleep: … I’ve had really bad restless leg syndrome at night.
Movement: This weeks Baby E had constant hiccups. E has had them before in the past, but this week it was 1 – 2 times a day for 5 + minutes at a time. The first few are cute and then after awhile it’s like How Can I get this Baby To Stop Moving?!
Symptoms: Restless Legs and achy legs (see above) and ive been kinda irritated/hormonal recently!
Peeing more than ever at night and groin pain (not fun). Overall finally starting to feel preggo where as before I would sometimes forget I was pregnant until Baby started kicking and moving.

Do you think the belly tightening thing is Braxton Hicks? I have experienced a couple so far and it’s REALLY weird..basically it feels as if your whole abdomen turns to stone…Also have times where my baby is just REALLY low and just the lower abdomen is tight (my Doc says this is just baby and not BH since only part of my uterus is solid) either way, as the weeks go on I am def feeling more and look like I may have hiccups to look forward to in the future : )

With this being my first I have no idea if they are BH or not 🙂 I keep thinking how much easier my second will be solely because I will know what to expect!
