My first shower was this past weekend and I couldnt have asked for more love and support from my friends and family! This shower was pretty early in my pregnancy (25 weeks) because two of my best friends are also expecting a month and a half before me. If I had waited, they would be going into labor during my shower or unable to travel to celebrate. The only answer seemed to be to throw a huge 3 way baby shower bash where there were lots of baby bumps to celebrate!
All of my beautiful friends who came to celebrate – Thank You!!
We had our 24 week appointment last week and everything went great. Specifically the doctor called Baby E ‘unremarkable’ 🙂 She meant it in a good way – although I think Baby E is pretty darn remarkable, I am glad that there aren’t any questions that Baby E is a healthy little one in there! I had so many questions for doctor this time around since recently having my thyroid numbers off at my 20 week appointment. She said they are extra cautious when it comes to thyroid levels and pregnancy, I’m on the lowest dose and most likely wont have to continue the daily medicine after baby – which was good to hear.
Next month is our glucose test and I’ll retest my thyroid levels. Coming from a girl who use to pass out with every shot, I think I am doing pretty good for not fainting during all these blood tests! #momstrength
Baby E is moving everywhere – I say that every week I feel like, but this week they are more like serious jabs than just playful taps. I know E is sleeping 12 – 14 hours a day but I have no idea when, he/she is constantly moving inside there!
My preggo chocolate craving led me to this Dove Inspirational saying on the inside of my wrapper:
Size of Baby E: Cauliflower
Best moment of the week: This was a big week for Best Momements! We had our 24 week appointment and my sorority sisters hosted a three way Baby shower for myself and two of my best friends who are also pregnant.
Obsessions/Cravings? Water. Ice cold watery goodness. I can’t get enough. I’m thirsty from the time I wake up until the moment I go to bed.
What I’m most looking forward to this week: We start baby classes this week.
What I miss the most: Sleping on my back. I have never been a side sleeper, I love sleeping on my stomach or back and I can’t do either.
Workouts: I’m documenting on Fitcee Fitness how I am regressing each exercise for preggos in their second trimester – stay tuned: P90x for Pregnancy!
The running is still going great – 3 miles seems to be my sweet spot.
Sleep: Still not sleeping.
Movement: Moves a lot at night. Moves a little during the day. I have no idea when he/she sleeps!
Symptoms: Just feeling more pregnant every day. After the all day baby shower my butt was kicked. Sunday was spent on the couch with a minor headache and just overall feeling like I had been hit by a truck. I think the days are gone where I can go go go.. I need to realize I need to rest more.
